•CONCEPT OVERVIEW:
PROJECT: XIII – DEATH is a dark reimagining of the Death card from the Tarot. Deviating from the traditional imagery of the scythe, death is personified here through the ritual of Rebirth. The project focuses on exploring the macabre symbiosis between biology and darkness, where the haunting beauty of the sorceress Vera stands in stark contrast to the visceral decay and brutality of the entity known as Ominous.
•THE LORE: THE SOVEREIGN OF THE VOID
In the turning gears of fate, the number 13 is not an ending, but a purge. Vera – The Soul Summoner, is the living incarnation of the XIII Arcana. She offers no salvation; she commands transformation through agony.
By her side is Ominous – The Harbinger of Decay. Resurrected from the ashes of fallen souls, Ominous is a grotesque manifestation: a bleached raven skull encased in raw, blood-streaked flesh, perpetually bound by a dark ancient tree that roots itself through its very marrow. If Vera is the "hand that wields the scythe," then Ominous is the primal embodiment of rot and the dark forces of nature.
